Palettes from Coastal Scents

Today I got a big smile on my face when I got home from work and realized that my palettes from Coastal Scents had arrived. Yaay!

I bought the 88 Original Palette and the 88 Ultra Shimmer Palette. The very lovely people at Coastal Scents gave me a great discount because I have a blog and want to give you guys lots of product reviews. Thanks!!

Coastal Scents 88 Ultra Shimmer Palette

Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette

The palettes are very, very nice! I tried a few on my eyes real quick and swatched another few on my hands and so far I'm super impressed! I'll be trying them out in the nearest future and give you a review.

The best thing about these palettes is the price. The palettes can be bought separately or as combo sets. The 88 Original Palette and 88 Ultra Shimmer Palette are sold as a combination set for $34,95. I mean, that's ridicolously cheap. 176 eyeshadows for $34,95!! Can't beat that!

  1. Hi Catharina! I've had a couple of these palettes in the past but I ended up giving them away because I was always disappointed by their poor pigmentation. I mean, only a few shades were really nicely pigmented and buttery and the others were chalky and sheer. They weren't from Costal Scents though but I've heard these palettes all come from the same manufacturer and the different brands just put their name on them? Odd!

  2. @ GABY: I waited to reply until I'd tried the palettes some more. I'm usually really sceptical about this kind of palettes since I don't expect the quality to be good. But when researching these I found that I lot of makeup artists liked them. And after trying them for a while now I'm really impressed!

Sure, some of the shadows aren't pigmented. But it's just a few. The rest of them are very good, pigmented and stays on really well. Very practical palettes for me as a makeup artist!

I love hearing what you think so please make a comment! I always read them, often reply, and always answer questions!
